TetraVPN - Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us, and we want you to understand what we do with the information we receive. This Privacy Policy ("Policy") applies to the information we collect about visitors to www.tetravpn.com (the "Site") and subscribers to our TetraVPN and related services ("Services" or "VPN"), which are owned and operated by TetraVPN (contact information below). Information We Collect

When using TetraVPN, our Virtual Private Network application, your internet traffic, visited sites, IP address, or personal online activities are not recorded, tracked, or shared. You do not need to provide us with any personally identifiable ("personal") information to browse our site, but you do need to create and register for an account to subscribe to our Application. To create an account, you may be required to provide certain personal information, such as your name and email address. You will also be required to choose a username and password. The type of information collected may vary depending on the payment method selected. After creating an account, you can access and modify billing and subscription information through the Google Play Store and/or App Store.

Account information:

Our services generally do not require you to create an account to use them. If you decide to create an account, we may collect information such as your name, username, email address, and password.

Customer support information:

If you contact us for support, we collect information from you to help diagnose and resolve the issue. This information may include your contact information (e.g. e-mail address), payment information, and information about your use of the services

How We Use Your Information

Under no circumstances will we share or sell your personal data with third parties. The information we collect through our app is primarily used to create new accounts, identify and contact existing subscribers, or provide troubleshooting and customer support. We may also use personal information for the following purposes: verifying your identity when you log in to our app, administering and improving our Services, responding to your requests or questions, and other customer service. TetraVPN does not record your VPN browsing activities in any way that can be associated with you. When you use a VPN connection, we do not store any information that identifies what you browse, view, or do online via that VPN connection. The exception is when you choose to communicate with us (such as via chat or email) over a VPN connection and choose to identify yourself to us.

Information collected automatically when using our services:

IP address. We may collect your IP address when you use our services and also derive your approximate location based on your IP address. See section 2 to understand what we use your IP address and derived location for. However, we do not store your IP address.

VPN application information. We do not store your VPN browsing activity (e.g. websites you browse or apps accessed through a VPN connection). However, we may collect diagnostic information as referenced above. We also collect anonymized application usage data such as speed, latency, connection success, login success, feature usage, error reports, and troubleshooting reports. What do we use the information for?

To provide, maintain, troubleshoot, and support our services.

For billing and payment purposes.

We use your account and transactional information to perform billing administration activities and process payments, which are required to fulfill our contractual obligations.

For legal compliance.

We internally use your information as required by applicable law, legal process, or regulation. While collection of your IP address is required from a technical perspective to enable the use of our services, IP addresses are neither stored nor used beyond the period that they are required for such use (i.e. the duration of a VPN session). We do not associate IP addresses with any VPN browsing activity.

Subscription and Payment Processing

Subscriptions and payments are processed solely through the Google Play Store and Apple App Store infrastructures. Payment information is processed directly by Google or Apple during this process. No payment data (credit card, bank information, etc.) is collected or stored by us.

Age Restrictions‍

Our services are not intended for and may not be used by minors. In this context, minors are individuals under the age of 16 (or such lower age as may be applicable in a jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we discover that we have collected personal data from a minor, we may close their account and delete associated data without notice.

Cookies

This section describes the information we collect about visitors to our Site. As stated above, we do not track users' activities outside of our Site or their web activity when they log into our VPN Services. We may use, or encourage others to use, cookies, clear GIFs, and similar technologies to understand how users access and use our Site. Generally, you can browse our Site without telling us who you are or providing any personal information.

Security Measures We Take

We use security measures consistent with industry standards to protect your personal information from loss, theft, misuse, or unauthorized access, disclosure, or destruction. All of our employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices. Furthermore, access to user or subscriber personal information is limited to those who need to know it to perform their duties. Where appropriate, we use encryption, access controls, passwords, and/or physical security measures to protect the personal information we collect and store about you from unauthorized access and disclosure. Despite our best efforts, no data security method guarantees 100% protection. We do not guarantee, and cannot guarantee, that your personal information will never be viewed and/ or used by others. Data over our VPN connections is encrypted and we do not inspect or record the contents of what you are browsing, viewing, or doing through them (unless you are using the VPN connection to communicate with us).

Deleting Account Information

You can delete your TetraVPN account at any time by using the "Delete My Account" feature, which you can find in the app settings.

Children's Privacy Our Site and Services are not directed to persons under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under the age of 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete the child's information.

International Data Transfer

We may transfer your personal data to countries other than the one in which you reside. We do this to facilitate our operations, and transferees include our group companies, service providers, and partners. Laws in other countries may be different to those that apply where you reside. For example, personal data collected within Switzerland, United Kingdom or the European Economic Area (EEA) may be transferred and processed outside Switzerland, United Kingdom or the EEA for purposes described in this policy. However, we put in place appropriate safeguards that help to ensure that such data receives an adequate level of protection.
